About the "same game different publisher" thing I was talking earlier, this is a real nice example, when the tool tells you "here look this is the same game so all should have same name" (for example):

Dig Dug (1982)(Atari)(US)(proto).xex
Dig Dug (1982)(Atari)(US).rom
Dig Dug (1983)(Atari)(US).rom
Dig Dug (1984)(Datasoft)(US).atx
Dig Dug (1985)(U.S. Gold)(GB).cas

I don't know if you have to deal with such weird stuff in C64 too but it can be really complicated and if you have a DAT that was made years ago and have a game like this with only "Atari" as publisher it can be very complicated to sort stuff out and name it all good.

When using your new DATs, there appears to be lots (too many to list here) of removed files that do not appear in any of the other C64 DATs.

Are there some other DATs to be uploaded still?   ???

Guys, please. As I mentioned last week, I still need to check for removed files. Will do that this week.

No worries. The thing is, I've identified quite a lot of files and had to move them from collection/compilations to their correct location. I've been away from home for a couple of days, but will try to finish the current wip this week.

No need to hurry as long as they will find their way back into the right DATs, the more you're trying to hurry things up, the more mistakes might happen, just check my "removed files" in last WIP DATs. :P

about 80 files in the Manik collection have been identified and moved to another DAT.

Was just thinking about collections i have run a few and most are just dumps of single games or a new alt to current ones we have.
Should they be keep in collections in case u get a new [a] in say games?
Because a lot of collections i have noticed are dumps of disc the sceners collected like unrenamed.

Just a thought.

That's right, the next release should have less items in collections as I've moved quite some to their correct DAT.

Interesting to see quite many .d64 files in the 'Collections' and 'Compilations' of which only the (internal) label was changed. Matching these images against the other .d64 files in other DATs to clean up more of the collections/compilations.
