Doubled amount of D64 demos. Many '19xx' and names corrected. Many 'hacked' flags added.
Next correlating different dumps like D64, PRG, T64 etc and extracting valuable information. Still a lot of work to do.

After separating 'C64 Diskmags' from 'C64 Magazines', finally renamed remaining magazines to 'C64 Coverdisks'.

When uploading, can you upload:

DATs to '/renamers-wip/DuncanTwain' on our TOSEC FTP
New images to gorski's FTP

Cheers

Speaking of which, can you upload your new files (i.e. new images you've added to WIP DATs) to gorski FTP when you can please...

We need to make sure no new files are 'missing' before doing a release.

"Commodore C64 - Coverdisks - [TAP]" on gorski appears damaged (as well as having a misleading date).

In fact, it may be an idea that we implement a policy of uploading DATs compressed (with whatever, doesn't matter) to aid verification/validation....

Cassiel, I've only moved this file from Magazines, not other changes; are you suggesting to change the file date although nothing has been modified/added?

Matched all files on 'title' and 'publisher' to find missing dates. A lot of date fixes applied!

First step after the 2011-01-19 release is to correct publishers across DATs and removal of wrongly assigned hacked attributes.

In dat "Commodore C64 - Demos - [D64] (TOSEC-v2010-12-30_CM).dat" you have 3 sets with duplicated publishers that need to be fixed. The third has probably an invalid "scene group/scener".

Need to remove:
- Demos from Games
- Mags from Education
- Duplicates across dats

Amend publisher attributes.
Remove incorrect hacked attributes.
Rename cracktros, mainly publishers

Made a start with
- matching files, ie T64 against PRG etc.
- correcting 'publishers' across DATs.

Tool created to match T64 files against PRG files, works like a charm. Enables me to get exact matches on file content and rename file accordingly. This is the first step to correct filenames. When eventually file relationships are created it's 'just' a matter of verifying and renaming if needed.
