I partly agree with Kodoichi here. Although any good application (or any other thing in 2016) should have decent usability and user experience, making its usage obvious and self explanatory, a bit of documentation, even in the form of a small web page of howto / quick tutorial just to let a less computer savvy user quickly scan and rebuild his sets.
I haven't used both RomVault and cmp lately but that would just be a couple of images each to: copy or import dats to the right place / organization; configure system(s) folder(s) [source, destination, output, whatever], and action [scan, rebuild, or others].
