Multiple JPG to PDF, how-to?
« on: April 30, 2011, 12:56:29 PM »
Hello,

Please, give details about tools and procedures in order to convert multiple jpg files to TOSEC pdf. There's pending MSX print material in jpg format that would require conversion to pdf prior to being released in TOSEC.

Greetings,

That misses the point of my 3rd paragraph.  PDFs can be more complicated than just a series of imagefiles in a zipfile with a different extension, especially if sourced from a digital publication involving layered text and images with backgrounds, bookmarks, annotations and more.  Though it would bring the format closer to my idea if--dare I say--TorrentZip is run on it before datting the .cbz.  I'd rather not shy away from the capabilities of PDF as it would mean denaturing and possibly ruining some of the content that is dependent on them.  But then again, as some of the images are being modified from their original, my argument is now more or less moot. But it shouldn't hurt to think about expanding the chance to get the ideal checksum matches if need be, considering that perhaps most of the contained images are in fact the untouched originals.

And your avatar scares me.

scary avatar indeed...

I also think CBR could be teh solution...

Rename all torentzipped magazines zips with Jpegs inside to cbr and voila....

Or enable Torrentzip to torrentzip the cbrs ....
Same format, different extention !

Tim, have you actually read this thread?

FYI BTW: CBZ = Zip, CBR = RAR

Hmm

I had indeed miss the third paragraph as well....

I don't see much more solution than releasing with some very small Par2 files so to repair the headers of the others that have eventually the same PDF with changed headers.
And switch to CBR or CBZ for the "pics" onlt Pdfs ?
