Good stuff mate ;)   Is it a commercially made unit or a hobby build?

Thank you for your responses guys :)

I will take time out to do some high level cataloguing of the magazines that I have. I will also take some pictures and upload them here.

I know that I cut out some articles and images of some magazines as a kid (to make posters etc.), so they're not  all in pristine condition. But the Edge ones should be in great shape and there are an awful lot of them.

To re-state: my number #1 priority is to get these into TOSEC-PIX for all to enjoy. I am again happy for the person generous enough to scan them to keep them.

I'll post back here in the next few weeks with pics :)

Is it possible to assemble them again afterwards?

If metal staples are used to keep the pages together, it's quite easy to remove them and then put the same ones back in place. I have done it many times in the past.
No idea how to handle mags with a bound back/glued together pages without causing any damage to them.
Suppose that $25000 scanner Jason mentions would help. :)

There is 2 ways i do it Maddog.

Remove staples and cut book in half.  If bound cut the binding off with box cutter.

Once scanned i keep the mag for a few weeks then dump it.

I'm in Cornwall and can help with scanning. No expensive scanning gear tho just an AIO but access to an decent scanner down at our local IT training center.
