Release party and rank on Amiga demos?
« on: October 31, 2016, 08:04:47 AM »
Who had the idea to add the release party and rank into the filename and why? It's even added to every disk file, for example:
9 Fingers (1993-12-29)(Spaceballs)(Disk 1 of 2)[TP3#4]
9 Fingers (1993-12-29)(Spaceballs)(Disk 2 of 2)[TP3#4]

Personally, I would leave this away as this is information that I can look up on Pouet.net and has nothing to do with the version information/differences of Tosec files. It also adds unnecessary length to the filename. At least just add it to the first disk, like it's done with cracking groups on games. It's even inconsistent throughout the database. This demo was released at The Party III too, placed 9th, yet didn't get the flag:
Calimero (1993)(Paradox)[h BTTR]

You dat maintainers and Tosec members sometimes make weird decisions that I don't understand :o
