Ripping my Sega CD games...
« on: June 01, 2010, 10:35:49 PM »
I'm attempting to rip my Sega CD games so that they match the TOSEC dat. I'm using Lunar: TSS (US) to test and so far, I've ripped the data track to an ISO and it properly matched. I then set my EAC settings according to the TOSEC ISO wiki rip guide and ripped the audio tracks.

There are 51 audio tracks -- track 2 through 52. All of the tracks matched the DAT except for track 2 and 52. The read CRC and test CRC matches in EAC on both tracks. Is there anything else I should try to get these two tracks to match the TOSEC dat?

Hi LordFlux :)
Unfortunately most of our members around here are not much into the ISO part so you will have to wait for idoru or someone with proper knowledge about that or with experience in dumping discs :P

Only a brief answer here as I haven't much time atm (sorry!) :

Track 2 mismatch will be down to you using a newer version of EAC (at some point in it's version's - can't remember when off the top of my head & I'm not at home so can't easily check - the detection changed), track 52 (ie. the last track) suggests that your cd-rom drive can't overread into the lead-out, which is required on a lot of discs (Sega in particular).

I think (from memory) the version of EAC used on the current rips was v0.95 pb5.
