This is sad. Were the scans permanently lost? I was going to use the 3DO scans for a project of mine.
I don't know if it is useful to you or not, but for Saturn much of the ring code information is kept at madroms.satakore.com and I could probably talk madroms into letting you use the data. He matches it based on header file rather than toseciso dump CRC, but there ought to be a way to reconstruct it. Perhaps you could even take this opportunity to thin out the duplicate dumps.
I've got a fairly complete U.S. Sega CD set of ring codes/header info from my recent Darkwater efforts.
As far as scans go, I got the impression that the scans were meant to document the tosec dumps more than they were to provide a complete set of scans. My scans are generally cleaned, so they may be of no interest to you, but I do have what is probably the most complete set of Saturn scans on the net. I keep vowing to release them and then I keep finding one more improvement I want to to make. I've also got a growing set of Sega CD scans, but they are mostly U.S. at this point. The Sega CD scans are mostly raw, which might be of more interest. At any rate, you are welcome to any of this that you find useful.
But the one thing that I would really like to see most of all out of Tosec ISO is a 100% complete U.S. Dreamcast set. It is so tantalizingly close to complete. Does anyone have the dumping guide for Dreamcast?
I'm also curious about the state of the dumping tool and the image corrector. I contacted idoru back in 2009 about joining as a team member for Saturn and he basically suggested I wait until the dumping tool was finished. At the time you guys were using a really old version of EAC with a bug that introduced a minor but correctable error in the dumps. My version of EAC was already plenty old and I wasn't willing to roll back that far to join the team since idoru was saying the shiny new dumping tool was just around the corner.
