Well, i'm no Wikipedia expert but it could certainly go in the references section. :) Before that though, perhaps you should discuss the matter with Eric. Maybe he could add some more fancy stuff than what he already has in his page, specifically about TOSEC (you could even write something and give it to him if he doesn't object?) and then add this link in Wikipedia's references and perhaps in a new section named "What others say about us" or "Other emulation-related projects" or something?

In any case, there is a risk this effort may fall under the "sources affiliated with the subject". I don't know the internals of Wikipedia. I wish you luck.

Finally got around to updating our wiki page for release 2012-12-28 (better late then never!).

I've also made various small corrections and expansions. In particular I've also added some additional external links which should help with this take down nonsense.

I currently have EVERY revision to our TOSEC wiki since the very start, in both PDF format and Wikipedia's own mark up text. I'll upload all to our FTP (and continue to do so revision on revision).

@Crashdisk
If you still have the desire/time to do so, do want to try and reinstate the fr version?

PS all: I'm currently cleaning up/re-uploading some recently lost bits and bobs to the FTP, so don't be surprised if you see some files changed/moved around from day to day as this is WIP at the moment.

Hmm... just noticed the FTP server is struggling with some of these Wiki files, will checkout and upload later...

Good job, hopefully the new links to archive will help us with the stupid message at the top. Should we cite the project description contained in the main page for tosec at archive.org? Just to fulfill that request to have an "external source" as a reference...

Honestly I think it's too early. The french moderator was particularly punctilious and any further attempt caught her attention in the first place. Unfortunately I agree with him on one point: If TOSEC is a huge project, it remains in the shadow of the media, which makes it particularly vulnerable on the independence of information that revolves around the project .
So, as the English version is under surveillance, I would venture to make a new attempt.

Do you believe that this page may be relevant in external link?

Subtle changes on the page. before:
"Whilst the original founder of TOSEC has since ceased to have any involvement in the initiative, a dedicated team of volunteers continue to expand and contribute to the project."
after:
"Whilst the original founder of TOSEC has since ceased to exist, a dedicated team of volunteers continue to expand and contribute to the project."

Any idea of who did the update and if that's correct?
Unfortunately i've lost all contact with Grendel in the last years. He still registered around here and redirected his domain to us (tosec.org) but we didn't had the chance to talk much.
Really sad news if that is indeed true :(

It's an anonymous edit, annoyingly.

I don't think that means what you think it means, it's really weird English to use if someone has (for example) died. Think it's just someone 'correcting' what's written, even though it didn't need it.

Will change back I think. But will have a check on RS first, since Grendel does occasionally post there.

Updated for release 2014-10-31.

Annoyingly, if you 'Download to PDF' now it looks like Wikipedia formats the text in 'columns'. Complete shit in my opinion, hopefully they will revert that behaviour.

Any one know what the story is?
