TOSEC Release 7/10 move script incomplete
« on: July 11, 2022, 04:17:58 AM »
A bunch of the Commodore C64 dats are not moved after running the move bat file. I ran the "create folders" bat before it and had to manually move the dats into the folders.

Other than that, I am super excited. I've refreshed tosecdev.org five times every day for six months and finally we got new dats, hurray!

Now I just have to track down all the new files.

I am not asking where to find roms, let me be clear on that, but I would like to lament sort of in general that this is the first big TOSEC release for me since pleasuredome closed and C64 has over 200k missing. I am not looking forward to tracking these all down, although I am super impressed with the work that went into this release.

Thank you to everyone who put in such hard work.

The dat thing will be fixed later (probably today).
You will be able to track everything down sooner or later I am sure. :)

Definitely, we've come a long way from downloading Cowering's goodset roms one at a time on IRC :) I'll get them one way or another.

The batch files work great now, although you left copies of the bat files in the TOSEC folder.

Ops! That was to save you the hassle of moving them there! It's a feature, not a bug.  :D

Yay! Pulled an old drive out of a storage box and found a bunch of stuff from 2004/2006 including TIM and a version of TUGID with a copy of tugid.tdb from 3/15/2004 of TOSEC v0.49.

Oh, and I guess some earlier dats and TUGID installs :)

Ok, well I put 9 versions of TUGID and 11 versions of the tugid.tdb database of TOSEC on Mega: https://mega.nz/folder/9DEUVCqK#rqrWRPhIdPMu__mnzL8n3A

If anyone uses these for anything (I've been in favor of a tools dat for years, even though they're not disks but zips from the internet) please let me know. I'm going to go through some more boxes looking for old drives, I know I have more and at one point had a good collection of clrmame versions and a ton of emulator installs from over 10 years. I also have a complete backup somewhere of the old emu website z..... dang can't remember what it was called right now but 20 years ago, starts with z, biggest emu site at the time....
