Direct to the questions, the invalid sets are just sets with names that do not follow the rules we currently describe on the TNC. A few examples are sets with date fields like "1990-10-2x" or with characters like "(" or ")" in the title field. This happens for several reasons, possible (future) changes in the TNC, problems with the tool that checks that and so on.
Concluding, there is no problem at all with the sets, just some names that are different than what the parser expected.
About the Genesis dat, yup that is a mistake, thanks for reporting that! That extra empty space shouldn't be there and will be fixed in the future
