I'm Sea7 anyone remember me?
« on: February 18, 2010, 12:32:32 PM »
Hi all,
Glad to see that the project has returned...
I was a renamer of Tosec but maybe only Grendel remember me... maybe Idoru, too

I've a couple of questions:
1) anyone have had news about dziuber? he was a renamer too...
2) I was the first creator and maintainer of the Amiga Applications DAT. I've put a lot of work in it... Why I've been cancelled from the credits???

Anyway... dear Tosec Team do you still want me?

Hi Sea7,

The project was always alive, even if the main branch was going really slow and looking like dead. Know we are just trying to make it stronger and bigger but we keep our natural pace ;D

I have not been around for that long to know you or your work personally but i've seen you around in IRC and know you've worked on some dats (5 atm + 2 others you talked about).

1) Nop, never saw him around. Maybe gorski or others at IRC know something about him.

2) I've no idea but that was something done long ago already, i've tracked the changes and that happened in releases 2005-10-14 and 2005-11-14. Several names disappeared from there, maybe the dat was redone or some other explanation (wasn't around).
Anyway i think that isn't really important, your work was valuable and we know that you worked on these dats by the oldest packs.
These lists of all past contributors (from guys who did a lot to ones that did just small fixes) will probably be discussed in the future since is something that could be improved imho (but not atm really).

Finally, contributions are always welcome. If you have time and will to work on some stuff i'm sure you can :P

Hi & welcome back, I also only remember you of IRC, as PandMonium said, the project was never really dead it's only that we are a bit slow with renaming due to busy real-life.
As far as I know nobody works on the Amiga applications anymore, maybe you could contact mai and ask about how he checks the current Amiga games DAT, so he could send you the tools and information you need to re-check the current applications DAT and then start to add new files to it. :)
