errors in last Tosec 03.01.2016

Hi all,
this files contain in dats weird non standart chars ... this must be fixed ... files come from separate dats ..

just for example first file come from Atari ST - Applications - [ST] (TOSEC-v2015-05-07).dat and in name and description contain ... Desktop-Icons fВЃr TOS 2, 3 und 4 v2.1 (1993)(-)(de)

Thanks gorski! Can you give me more details about the dats where these sets appar? Do they break that tool (or cmp or romvault?).

In my text editor (or in notepad) when I open the first dat it all appears correct. However, using an hex editor or copying it here shows the strange char:

Its hex code is c2 81 (a control char) and that's why it does not shows up. Still the others you reported seem to be affected by a different prorblem/char since I couldn't find more occurrences of these. Can you help me please? Thanks in advance!

that is all files with errors, they contain in dats bad chars, i have set in my windows 7 cp1251 (Bulgaria) and even i create utf-8 files with clrmame i get files with bad names in dir, i unable to create torrent file for example, because torrentzip refuse to open files with this strange names, clrmame not affected but i generete different file names in directories compared to some one which have english codepage for example
In any way this files must be changed because TOSEC not allow strange symbols
