ok Kodoichi  didn't read what u said right.
But depends on the virus a bootblock virus on a dos disk in theory should be 100% the same if u restore a standard bootblock.

I once read Tosec wants to add every version of any game in its database(s), even the ones with altered highscores etc.

Originaly this was true (though whether it was put in practice in an intellifgent way - or at all - was a different matter!), but this whole issue of all these alternates in (magnetic disk) based DATs is an ongoing discussion at the moment. I think we really need to come up with some sort plan/rules around this, but I’ll leave that for the guys more involved in the floppy disk based systems since this is where this issue is most prominent (and I’m more knowledgeable of the ROM/EEPROM based stuff).

I believe the original question from mai though, was whether the image they cleaned should have the [v] FLAG removed. My first instinct would be what I posted, as I would be very surprised if a AV could ‘recreate’ a perfect clean image, but maybe Symmo has a better insight….

100% working, yes by perfect clean image is unlikely
The original has not necessarily provided with a standard bootblock and anyway there is no single standard ...

IT IS THE LAW.

Here, check the image. Are Orb and ORB two different groups/persons?

lol!
mai just asked for crcs because it is easier to look for them and see if the set was already fixed than search for setnames, especially if they were already changed. Hashes don't change easily

If i may help, "The Orb" is a valid scene group that used "ORB" as abbreviation, that was found some time ago (probably by mai) and maybe all sets were not fixed again. In the end they are both correct but it is better to have them all using the abbreviation (ORB).
Extra info: Before the last update all sets used "Orb", a total of 21 sets accross 3 dats used it in dump flags (Games - [ADF], Games - Public Domain - [ADF] and Applications - [ADF]).
There are also 7 sets that use it in "publisher field", 4 in amiga and 3 in C64. All of them in "Demos -*" dats so they are probably from the same group, in case of publisher fields we opt to use the real group names instead of abbreviations anyway.

Unfortunately i don't have similar stats on the latest release dats :P

Boot, Das - German U-Boat Simulation v1.0 (1991)(Mindscape)[h PNS]

Punishers mention that the game was cracked by Skid Row, but in the latest dat the [cr SR] flag was removed.

No clue what's going on here.

(Is it antisocial if I publish those phone numbers and P.O. boxes in public? ???)

Kodoichi, you can trust me, i am doing a lot of investigations, before i change anything.
Personally i dont trust, what i can read in such messages on screen.
After some investigatins(comparing with IPF release, WHDload info) i found out, that "SR" released this game, but there was nothing to crack, so it was a simple release without changing any program parts.
Although "PNS" mentioned "SR" as the cracking group, you cant find any trace on the actual disk.
Now, do you agree?
Of course it would be interesting, what other members thinking too.

The most fun is when I read that a freeware game has been cracked...
The content is most important that the claims

Mayday Squad Heroes (1989)(Tynesoft)

The box says Mayday Squad Heroes, but the title screen only Mayday Squad:
http://www.lemonamiga.com/games/details.php?id=723

Is it a TNC rule to use the box naming? I find it a bit unreliable.

Fiendish Freddy's Big Top O' Fun (demo-playable)(1989)(Mindscape)[a]
=> Fiendish Freddy's Big Top O' Fun (demo-slideshow)(1989)(Mindscape)[a]

Wolfen - Die Bestie ist Unter Uns (1992)(Apocalypse)(DE)(Disk 1 of 3)[cr Shades][a]
=> Wolfen - Die Bestie ist unter uns v1.2 (1992)(Apocalypse)(DE)(Disk 1 of 3)[cr Backlash][a]
Might be similar to my older post about Das Boot above, but then I guess it should mention [cr Shades][h Backlash]? Not sure either if the game is version 1.2 or just the copyprotection (bottom right corner of screenshot).
