Hi,
TOSEC is meant to be a collaborative effort as I understand it
, I was wondering if there would be any interest to host it on GitHub (or equivalent, Gitorious, Bitbucket ...).
I believe that would make it a lot easier to contribute to, as people would be able to do pull requests to contribute to a specific file. They wouldn't necessarily have to use the git client as most editing can be done directly on GitHub.
For maintainers, that would also make their life easier as it has nice features to display diffs between files (to see exactly what is the content of a pull request), and a pull request can be discussed and accepted/rejected, including an automatic merging. For rejection, the history of pull requests could be useful if someone wants to find out why a specific contribution has been rejected in the past.
What do you think of this idea ? I'm just wondering if there would be something more practical than forum posts or IRC for the casual contributor... It's sometime difficult to know where to start, whereas people are getting use to contributing to GitHub projects these days
Cheers,
Nico
