Datfile Mirrors

Hello all,

I understand that bandwidth can be very expensive; as such I was just wondering if the administrators are looking for any places to store mirrors of the DAT and CUE files?

I have a large chunk of space free on my home site (which basically hosts a page of my frequently used links). I might even be able to get the WWW profiler in clrmamepro to work with it too to provide automatic updates via said software 

I know the zips aren't exactly huge, but just thought I'd offer 

Let me know if you do, and I'll happily put them up and provide the links to them.

we appreciate your offer and i will keep a note if i need it for some reason, for now and since we still haven't released anything new i can't really tell you how it will behave, lets hope we have a release some day to see if we can handle it (hope not, would be a signal of great interest in the project )

As for the clrmamepro profiler, i guess it should be also useful since i suppose some guys prefer to just download some dats individually or at least see what is new that way and also the commodity of seeing in cmp if there are updates. On the other hand i suppose it will use some amount of extra bandwidth since (afaik how it works) people have to download the dats xml each time they check for updates, since we have a ton of them it would be a bit bigger XML than usual (but i guess it would be something insignificant ), also generating that files may give some work but i may put it on my todo list one day.
