The old "Various" DATs can be removed.

There are still files left over from the old TI-73 & TI-80 Various dats, are these junked or still to be added?

Also, presumably, the rest of the old dats are still required? ie.

5  TOSEC Project / TOSEC Naming Convention / Re: (System) Flag on: July 02, 2010, 08:46:45 PM
On the other hand, why do we have a system flag if you don't use it?
In my opinion it's not really nice to use more info for that, since "[compatible TI-73 - 92+]" is always bigger than (TI-73-TI-92+), you could even leave the 2 "-" out and make it (TI73-TI92+) to shorten it.
Well, (TI-73-TI-92+) suggests it's for the TI-73 & TI-92+ only - which is not correct in the case we're debating.
6  TOSEC Project / TOSEC Naming Convention / Re: (System) Flag on: July 01, 2010, 07:17:23 AM
Well, [more info] in these limited cases is infinitely more preferrable than a system flag of (TI-73-TI-81-TI-82-TI-83-TI-83+-TI-85-TI-86-TI-86-TI-89-TI-92-TI-92+) Tongue  I didn't say it was perfect, but there'll never be a renaming system perfect for everything Wink

It's not quite as neat as having a system flag, but for those few sets could you not use the [more info] field ?  Something along the lines of :-

Blah (19xx)(Company)[compatible TI-73 - 92+]

I looked at it & there's nothing in the image to suggest either are correct.  Haven't got time to do any fuller research into it atm though, if anyone else wants to then feel free Wink

DiaboÅ‚, were the GX4000 CPR from http://www.cpcmania.com/ ?  Just found that site & downloaded the files, about 50% match your dat the rest don't.

No problem Wink

I'm not missing many files for any upload btw (eg. only 3 missing for High Voltage) Smiley

OK, I've moved all the Mikroelektronika Pyldin dats & the Epoch Super Cassette Vision dat into a Work-In-Progress folder in your area & will not include them in any release for now.
12  TOSEC Project / Work In Progress / Re: DiaboÅ‚'s WIP on: June 11, 2010, 10:10:00 AM
Hey DiaboÅ‚, I've just been going through your submitted sets.  BTW, I did not see any Epoch or Texas Instruments ones there.  Some questions :-

1) Amstrad GX4000 - do we need both BIN/CPR ?  Did you convert the readily available BIN files to CPR (as I can't find the CPR files Tongue) ?

2) Mikroelektronika Pyldin-601 - There's 2 duplicate checksums in the Firmware dat, which of the following filenames should I keep ?
    Pyldin-601 BIOS v2.60 (1990)(Mikroelektronika)
    Pyldin-601 Fixed BIOS v2.60 (1990)(Eagle Software)

3) Can the Firmware dats for Mikroelektronika Pyldin-601 / Mikroelektronika Pyldin-601A / Mikroelektronika Pyldin-601M be merged ?  It looks like the software works across all 3 & the A/M are revisions of the video hardware only ?  Also the DOS/Pascal/BASIC stuff doesn't belong in a Firmware dat unless they're stored in ROM chips on the hardware, presumably they're software so would be better placed in an Applications (Pascal/BASIC) or Operating Systems dat (DOS).

4) Where on earth can I download the Mikroelektronika files from ?  Tongue  I've found some of the firmware files & a few Hungarian sites for the Pyldin, but can't seem to either find or navigate to any software downloads.

Thanks Wink

Duncan,

I've just been going through your dats & there's a couple of questions :-

1) There's 93 files that have been removed in the new "Commodore C64 - Magazines - [PRG]" that aren't picked up in any of the other C64 sets.  Is this intentional or a mistake ?  I've attached a ClrMamePro dat of just these files that were removed.

2) Can you point me to where I can download the new files added to "Commodore C64 - Magazines - [PRG]" & "Commodore C64 - Collections - High Voltage" ?  I had some of the files but not all.

Thanks Wink

15  TOSEC Project / TOSEC ISO / Re: Ripping my Sega CD games... on: June 10, 2010, 03:16:11 PM
Only a brief answer here as I haven't much time atm (sorry!) :

Track 2 mismatch will be down to you using a newer version of EAC (at some point in it's version's - can't remember when off the top of my head & I'm not at home so can't easily check - the detection changed), track 52 (ie. the last track) suggests that your cd-rom drive can't overread into the lead-out, which is required on a lot of discs (Sega in particular).

I think (from memory) the version of EAC used on the current rips was v0.95 pb5.
