Well that 'shortly' ended up getting much delayed!

A couple of things I've had to correct in the DATs I included:
- remember to include "_CM" in the DAT file name, right at the end
- Apple III - Collections - WAP III SIG Public Domain Library -> you can't have (disk 1 of 1)(side)(media name), so I had to change a couple of those
- for some reason, all entries started with <tab><space>" rather than <tab>". Maybe you using DAT generator other than CMP? I changed them anyway as it pisses the TDE verifier right off...  :)

Additionally, "Applied Technology Microbee - Educational (TOSEC-v2012-08-27)" is blank? Only a header included.

Also, I'm sincerely sorry about this but I've had to leave out you new 'Xircom REX 6000' and SOME of your GP32 DATs for now.

Looking at GP32 especially, I really think we (as a project) need to come up with some much better 'rules' regarding how we treat actual media images versus raw executable files (and their supporting files). This is something that's been a bit to lax and messy since the start and looking at all the GP32 stuff (a handheld I know very well) its just screams out that this needs looking at. I REALLY want that to be in place before going mad including (the many many) softwares I know are out their for GP32.

Ideally I would have discussed this with you waaay before prepping a pack, but as you can see getting this release out the door is a bit of a rush this time, normally this would (hopefully) have been spotted way earlier.

Let's look at this again before the release after this one...

No problem, I understand it's a difficult one. Might be best to just leave the GP32 stuff out entirely until we have a system for dealing with it. Maybe the "Games - [SMC]" dat would be alright, as those are media images.

Re: Applied Technology Microbee - Educational - fixed it and new dat uploaded.

The <tab><space> thing is entirely my fault - I'm using a little python script to generate dats from an existing folder structure and accidentally included an extra space. Should be sorted for the next batch, although the fixed Microbee dat might still have that issue.

I've included FPK and SMC for now (since these are install packages and SD card images respectfully), it's all the 'raw' DATs that are of concern.

Excellent... since tiny, can still squeak into release. Minimal issue since have to now correct a few other things. FYI... should be a capital 'B' in MicroBee (I missed this, but luckily PandMonium had his detective eyes on!)

OK, good stuff... incidentally, that's the sort of thing that might be good to share if it in a robust state. Anything to make processes around renaming/DATing more efficient will only be encouraged here!

I totally agree, at least available for our members but one day some tools might even be made public in the download section :P

Regarding:
Apple II Emulation Mode Disk #2 (1995-01-15)(WAP III SIG)(PD)(Side A)[3EMM-02]
This may be Side B, while Side A hasn't been added. Please verify from your source.

So.. it's been a while since I've posted here. Finally have working internet at home, and I've been busy in my absence.

I apologise if I've stepped on anyone's toes with some of these updates - I've had to work from my existing piles of unrenamed files for various systems and for those systems for which I have working emulators (or, in the case of systems in MESS, which I can get working without access to documentation). I did aim to work on stuff which hasn't been updated in a while.

I am returned! Still need to dig out the correct power supply for my old external HD, so a bunch of work above may be sadly lost.

Slowly getting back into the swing of things, so here's what's happening:

New

Thomson TO9 - Applications (3 files)
Thomson TO9 - Compilations - Games (1 file)
Thomson TO9 - Educations (7 files)
Thomson TO9 - Games (3 files)
Thomson TO9+ - Applications [FD] (1 file)

Updated

Thomson TO8 - Games [FD] (+1)
Thomson TO9+ - Applications [SAP] (renamed dat & 1 file)

Not the greatest progress, but with ~5 years since I last even looked at the Thomson stuff (let alone everything else) there will be plenty more to come.

Thanks guys. After a bit more work on the TO8 / TO8(D) / TO9 / TO9+, I'm inclined to combine these into single dats, rather than per-system.

Quite simply, almost all software is compatible with all machines (a few rare exceptions), to the extent that many of the boxes / disks explicitly identify as being for TO8, TO9 and TO9+ (see e.g. http://dcmoto.free.fr/programmes/androides/d1.jpg). Going to take a bit of time to reorganise and combine before I introduce anything else new, will likely need to introduce some new system flags to help identify the software which is only for one specific system.

Happy to hold off if anyone has objections, but it seems the best approach to me.
